Brigham Young University’s West Stadium Field is a multi-use, natural grass field that hosts numerous university sponsor activities including intramural sports and camps. It also serves as temporary parking for vehicular traffic during football games and yearly events like Stadium of Fire.
Utelite Corporation worked with the BYU’s Grounds personnel to develop an engineered soil media capable of supporting the weight loading associated with temporary parking of vehicles. The media would maintain an adequate root development zone that would allow the grass to recover more quickly.
